Will! You! Go! To! Prom! With! Me!

I Heart Jason Schwartzman like Huckabees.

Shopgirl is one of the best movies this year. I love the storyline. Like it says on Yahoo! Movies, " A glimpse inside the lives of three very different people on diverse paths, but all in search of the same thing. Mirabelle is a "plain Jane"overseeing the rarely frequented glove counter at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills. An artist struggling to keep up with even the minimumpayment on her credit card and student loans, she keeps to herself until a rich, handsome fifty-something, Ray Porter, sweeps her off her feet. Simultaneously, Mirabelle is being pursued by Jeremy, a basic bachelor who's not quite as cultured and successful as Ray. When fate steps in, the outcome won't necessarily have a storybook ending, because in the end, it is life. "
Steve Martin is a genius, but he's a bastard. The character of Jeremy is perfect for Jason Schwartzman and the role reminded me of Jason's role of Cool Ethan in Slackers. Claire Danes is personally not my favorite actress, but her acting was good in the movie. She's happy one moment and depressed the next moment and she was able to play that off.

I must be obsessed with Harry Potter now because I just watched The Goblet of Fire for the second time in about a week. It's not the first time I've seen a Harry Potter film in theaters twice. I've seen Chamber of Secrets and/or Prisoner of Azkaban twice in theaters. It's too bad Cedric Diggory is actually dead and it's good that Cho Chang's character becomes extremely annoying in the fifth book. I think I want to read that book again.

I finally bought the Lost: Season 1 DVD yesterday. I love, love, love the show. I'm trying to get my mom into the show so she won't have to pester me every Wednesday at 9pm about her wanting to watch her own shows/movies. And because it is that good. I wonder if we'll ever find out what happened to Shannon when she was in New York.

OMFG

Can it be? 3 good alt bands under one roof? I think so. And The Like and BIG CITY ROCK together? My dream has come true. They are so hot right now. I think each member of Big City Rock deserves some little treats... some big BIG treats. Although I still need to see U2 and of course Bright Eyes (again).

I Heart Alan Rickman

I'm so stressed right now. I'm not sure if I hit a car or not. And it's only been a month since my last two car accidents and running a red light. I'm cursed or maybe I just panic too much.

Harry Potter movies are never as good as the books of course, but Robert Pattinson is actually pretty cute. I thought he was in the Vanity Fair DVD. Overall I think it was a good movie, it was really beautiful. Katie Leung as Cho Chang was okay.

Section 105 (Back Left Corner), Row M (13th Row.. not bad)
I'm disappointed at the seats I got for Coldplay, but then again there are much larger venues than Arco Arena in Sacramento. And at least the sections I'm in are leveled so there's no one blocking my view. And if it gets sold-out, which probably will as how sales are going so far, I'll be satisfied with the seats I have. Until then I'm going to cry, but it could've been worse. We should've paid by phone or the internet. Damn those Nine Inch Nails kids!

Lessons Learned

Does someone just want publicity? It's interesting how I hated Laguna Beach at first because it was like a duplicate of The O.C., but yes, I've gotten into it the 2nd season. It's addicting, but embarrassing, but hey, I'm a girl so it doesn't matter. It's funny how the cast have all reached celeb status now. I thought they were all going to college? How is that going? Talan and Kim Stewart? That is just weird, but I guess it's not unusual with all the young celebs like Paris and Nicki getting married and divorced within minutes. And Laguna Beach Season 3? It looks so stupid. You would think the first two seasons were stupid right? The third season is the worst, but I think I'm going to be a hypocrite and still watch it. Hey, I can't help it, it's my guilty pleasure.

Woody at Xmas

This has got to be THE cutest thing I've ever seen in awhile. I want it even though I have tons of stuffed animals packed and ready to be donated, but c'mon, Woodstock chirps and flaps his wings when you turn him on.

Anyways, this is my real first post. Random so far, I know. The point of this blog? It'll be random and I'll mention some songs every once in awhile that I advise to listen if you haven't heard of them already, old and new. I'll post LEGAL links to SOME of the songs too if I have time to find them because I don't want to deal with all the illegal shit.

1. Everything Is Everything (Live) - Phoenix (Live! Thirty Days Ago)
2. But It's Better If You Do - Panic! at the Disco
3. Wearing Me Out - Still Life Projector (The Dance Riot)
4. I Think Patrick Swayze Is Sexy - Kane Hodder (The Pleasure To Remain So Hear)
5. Ready - The Starting Line (Based On A True Story)
6. Power Of Love (Cover) - The Early November (Punk Goes 80's)
7. Your Ex-Lover Is Dead - Stars (Set Yourself On Fire)
8. Art Is Hard - Cursive (The Ugly Organ)
9. Nationwide - The Dead 60's (The Dead 60's)
10. I Summon You - Spoon (Gimme Fiction)
11. Number One Son - Camera Obscura (Underachievers Please Try Harder)
12. Fashionably Uninvited - Mellowdrone
13. Lover's Spit - Broken Social Scene (Beehives)

Nintendo Fusion Tour Except for the Nintendos

Fall Out Boy/The Starting Line/Boys Night Out/Panic! at the Disco/Endeverafter (Motion City Soundtrack Cancelled)

Place: CSUS Ballroom
Date: Wednesday, November 2, 2005

The big disappointment of the night was Motion City Soundtrack cancelling due to the MTVU Awards Ceremony. Was it really necessary for them to be present at the ceremony? Endeverafter is not my type of music. I didn't really enjoy them, but I'm sure at least half the people did. They were nothing compared to what Motion City Soundtrack would've presented in their performance. Panic! at the Disco were surprisingly good. I've seen them live for the first time back in September playing a small show at The Underground in Roseville opening for Acceptance and Augustana. I didn't pay attention to them much then, but after this show, they've become one of my favorite bands at the present. Boys Night Out were okay. I didn't think there were anything special about them or that caught my attention yet at least. The Starting Line were really good. Their sound was really good.

Fall Out Boy was good, but could've been better. They're actually one of my favorite bands, but I have to say they should've had an encore. It's just confusing when there isn't one especially if you just walk off the stage without announcing before that it's their last song and so on. Their stage presence was okay, there was nothing special about their performance except for all the spins Joe and Pete make when they're performing. And their sound wasn't as good as The Starting Line's.
